Gary P. Alexander
Managing Director - Investment Officer

With more than four decades of experience in the securities industry, Gary Alexander has earned a reputation for integrity and insightful investment advice. He uses old-fashioned values and a common sense approach to investing.  Working with clients throughout the United States and in foreign countries, Gary values each client relationship and cares deeply about helping people.

Mr. Alexander has received numerous awards and recognition for his contributions to the brokerage industry and the Atlanta community.  During his tenure with Interstate Johnson Lane, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, Gary served on the firm's Investment Policy Committee. The founding president of the Retail Securities Brokers of Georgia, Gary is Past President of the Georgia Securities Association, which recognized his tenure with its distinguished 20-year Service Award. He also serves as an arbitrator for Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and was the recipient of the prestigious Wells Fargo Spirit Award.

Gary has offered commentary in local and national broadcast and print media, including CNN, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia Trend Magazine, and Media General newspapers.

An active member of his community, Gary has served as President and Chairman of the Auditory Education Center, a United Way agency that assists profoundly deaf children. As a result of his work on the AEC, he received the Prudential Foundation's Pace Setter Sunshine Award.  In addition, he chaired the Lauren's Run fundraising effort to benefit pediatric cancer research at the City of Hope, and he has served as trustee for the Galloway School for six years. He was awarded  the Father of the Year award  by the American Diabetes Association in 2008. His civic contributions have included serving for five years on the Fulton County Manager's Advisory Committee and serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Board to the Georgia Holocaust Commission.


 

Marc A. Alexander, CFP®, CIMA®

With more than two decades of experience managing investments and estate planning strategies, Marc Alexander uses a holistic and comprehensive approach to investment planning. He has earned a reputation for personal service and attention to detail by tailoring his financial advice to the needs of each individual client. By making communication the core of his client relationships, Marc provides a truly personalized approach to managing his client's financial health.


As a Private Investment Management (PIM) manager, Marc is laser-focused on fully customizing investment solutions geared toward his clients' goals1. The PIM designation is awarded to a small percentage of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors who have met the firm's rigorous program criteria such as completing advanced training, having proven experience and holding appropriate registrations.

Marc believes in continuing education to stay current on economic changes and new wealth management trends. After obtaining his BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia in 1992, Marc went on to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®). He is also a Certified Investment Management AnalystSM (CIMA®) and a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association®. Marc holds insurance licenses for life, long-term care and annuities. He currently serves on the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

Marc began his career in 1993 with IJL Wachovia, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors. Early in his career, Marc developed and tailored the investment knowledge and processes that remain key to the team today. In 2006, Marc moved to RBC Wealth Management and then Morgan Stanley, in search of the firm to best fit the needs of his clients. In 2014, Marc and his team returned to Wells Fargo Advisors to take advantage of the firm's broader set of wealth planning resources and to work closely with Gary Alexander to ensure the seamless execution of his eventual retirement succession.

Outside of the office, Marc prioritizes his free time with his wife, Tanya, and their two children. Marc loves skiing and the outdoors and enjoys cycling, soccer, tennis and golf. He gives back to his community helping various charitable organizations, including his children's school, Woodward Academy.

Seth M. Asher, MBA
Vice President-Investments


As a trusted advisor and financial services professional with the Alexander Investment Group, Seth Asher has more than 17 years experience helping build and protect clients' wealth. Seth takes a collaborative approach to understanding each client's unique objectives and coordinates with his clients' attorneys and accountants to help build comprehensive, integrated investment strategies.


Seth believes communication is the foundation of any successful business. Together with Gary and Marc, they take great pride in building long-term trusted relationships and set high client service standards to create an opportune working relationship to help clients achieve their goals.

Seth holds several securities registrations including the Series 7, 63 and 66, and holds licenses for life and long-term care insurance. In addition, Seth earned the Accredited Wealth Manager designation through the Academy of Multidisciplinary Practice, Inc. and the Estate & Wealth Strategies Institute at Michigan State University. Recipients of this certification are recognized for their advanced knowledge in the specialty areas of investment strategies, insurance, estate planning, charitable giving, business succession solutions, and retirement planning.

Seth began his career as a Financial Advisor in 2000, working for IJL Wachovia, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors. Throughout his career, Seth has earned several industry awards and recognitions including being named as a Five Star Wealth Manager in Atlanta Magazine in 2015, 2016 and 20171. In addition, Seth and his team at Alexander Investment Group were invited to participate in the Barron's Top Advisory Team Summit in 2014 and 2015 to help gain fresh insights and innovative ideas on investment management.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Seth attended the University of Georgia where he earned his BBA in Risk Management. In 1997, he earned his MBA and Master of Health Administration degree (MHA) from The J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. Away from the office, Seth and his wife, Karen, spend most of their time keeping up with their children, volunteering at school activities, helping with homework and attending sporting events. He enjoys tennis, skiing and traveling to their family's favorite vacation destinations—Aspen and Hilton Head Island.

John Cawley, CFP®

After earning his BA degree from Villanova University, John served as an officer in the United States Navy's amphibious force and with the “Brown Water Navy” in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Following his naval service he earned an MBA from Iona college Graduate School of Business and then joined the Ford Motor Company where he worked in various management positions for ten years.

John joined the Prudential-Bach Securities office in Atlanta in 1983 and has transitioned through the Wachovia Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors mergers. He is proud of having been able to provide outstanding client service for these past three decades with the help of such fine financial organizations. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Private Investment Management (PIM) Portfolio Manager and is dedicated to helping his clients meet their financial objectives, in part, through a commitment to his own ongoing education in this ever-changing world economy.

Active in his community and church, John is a past Rotarian and recipient of the “Rotarian of the Year” award and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Georgia. John has a particular preference for “a shady spot on the beach with a good book in hand.”


 

Debi Chin
Senior Registered Client Associate


Debi Chin brings over 30 years of financial services experience to the Alexander Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. In 2008, Debi joined Gary Alexander and became an integral member of the team. She provides clients with the personalized attention and solution-oriented service they deserve and is frequently called upon to explain complex regulations and year-end tax statements, monitor dividend and interest payments and resolve client inquiries.


She holds her Series 7 and 63 registrations. In 2011, Debi was recognized as a Distinguished Service Professional by the Firm and was Employee of the Quarter in 2007.


 

Matt Gruskievich
Senior Client Associate


Matt started his career in the financial services industry in 1999 with IJL Wachovia Securities. After two years of mastering brokerage operations, Matt joined Marc Alexander and Seth Asher and has provided dedicated client service for over 15 years.


He is a graduate of Hesser College and holds an associate degree in marketing. Matt's outgoing personality and communicative approach is evident as he helps clients with service and administrative matters. Away from the office, Matt enjoys his dogs, cooking, movies and the outdoors.
